Firing Workers – Never Good For Morale

It does not take long for an individual working in the human resource sector to understand that workers and employers often have diametrically opposite requirements and expectations. The employer is interested in earning a profit so that he can survive after paying the salaries and wages of all the workers.
On the other hand, the worker is not interested in the profits of the organization. This may seem foolish considering the fact that no employer will continue an unprofitable business. However, workers are interested in protecting their interests more than that of the organization. This is the reason why an organization offering roofers services in the market will suffer a fall in productivity after it fires certain employees and uses machines to do their work.
Not all the tasks can be done by machines. Hence, certain employees will be retained while others will be fired. Ideally, the worker should be focused on his or her salary alone. However, the fact that a few colleagues have been fired and have been replaced by machines will obviously irk the labor force. Of course, there will be the fear that the employer will go in for complete mechanized setup. The message that goes to the worker is that he or she is not required and will be replaced at the most profitable instance.
Not surprisingly, motivation takes a deep and workers are no longer interested in doing a good job. When this happens, one has to make use of well established human resource plans and solutions to overcome this problem.
